) Gold prices on Thursday increased by ₹282 to ₹60,175 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for June delivery traded higher by ₹282 or 0.47 per cent at ₹60,175 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 15,163 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
Globally, gold was trading 0.75 per cent higher at $2,011 per ounce in New York.
