Subhra: Absolutely. I’m Subhra Ranjan Mishra, a 28-year-old individual from Cuttack, Odisha. I
hold a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from BITM Santiniketan and currently work as a VLSI chip design DFT Engineer at SAMSUNG Semiconductor in Bangalore. Apart from my engineering career, I am also actively involved in the field of fashion modelling. My motivation for pursuing a career in art, particularly modelling and acting, stems from a lifelong dream and passion that started at a very young age. Standing in front of a mirror, trying on different outfits, and striking confident poses always brought me immense joy and happiness, eventually directing my interest towards the world of fashion.
Artistic Influences and Style
MPGN: Who are your main artistic influences, and how has your style evolved over time?
Subhra: I draw inspiration from supermodels like MR WORLD ROHIT KHANDELWAL and esteemed actors such as AAMIR KHAN. Additionally, various fashion models have played a significant role in influencing my style choices. Over time, my style has undergone considerable evolution. Initially, I grappled with confidence in carrying different outfits. However, through extensive travels and interactions with diverse individuals, I gained confidence and began experimenting with various styles. Winning the MR SHINE INDIA ODISHA title was a crucial turning point that greatly influenced and shaped my evolving style.

MPGN: Could you discuss your preferred and least favored artistic mediums, along with your favorite art movements and why they resonate with you?
Subhra: In terms of artistic expression, I enjoy experimenting with various mediums, embracing
the dynamic nature of art movements. While I may have preferences, the journey of exploration and self-discovery remains integral to my artistic evolution.
Inspiration and Creativity
MPGN: Where do you find inspiration for your art, and how does it contribute to other aspects of your life?
Subhra: My primary source of inspiration comes from social media and fashion shows. Witnessing the confidence that individuals display in front of the camera is truly inspiring. This inspiration extends beyond my modelling career and positively influences other aspects of my life, including engineering, singing, vlogging, and fashion. It instils in me immense confidence to achieve greater heights in all my endeavours.

Subhra: I completed my B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from

BITM Santiniketan, West Bengal. Developing my art career involved constant self-updating and a commitment to staying relevant. Challenges arose, especially given my settled job. Convincing friends and family of the viability of a dual career in engineering and fashion modeling was no easy feat. The hardest part was convincing myself, but overcoming these challenges has made me more resilient.

Subhra: Absolutely, networking is crucial. The more interactions within the industry, the more opportunities to learn and incorporate new insights into my work. Whether through digital platforms or in-person connections, getting to know others in the industry is vital.

Subhra: So far, I’ve been fortunate to receive positive feedback, but one critique that struck me was about lacking confidence. Taking that to heart, I worked hard to improve and build confidence. Constructive criticism is valuable, and I’m happy that it helped me become a more confident individual, playing a significant role in inspiring others through my work.

Subhra: Starting the day with yoga helps maintain calm and composure. Prioritizing a healthy
